Calling all Brides… Start planning your bridal beauty routine now!
You’ve booked the day, found a venue and maybe even picked out a beautiful wedding dress, but have you given much thought to your beauty routine? In the build-up to your wedding it’s all about getting ahead of the game, looking after yourself and doing everything you can so that all you’ve got to think about is having the most memorable day. A big part of that is building an easy-to-follow beauty regime, so let’s take a look at how to do it.
Face
Just as with your hair, it’s important to start a skin care regime well in advance of the big day. As a general rule of thumb, it’s good practice to implement a daily cleansing and moisturizing routine, and exfoliate to get rid of dead cells. Pay close attention to the areas around the eyes as they can get puffy; an overnight eye cream is your friend here!! Don’t forget your lips either; you’re going to need them on the big day! Keep them moist with a vitamin E stick and apply sunscreen to protect them in the heat.
Hair
Getting into a good hair care routine at least six months out is a good idea. To begin with all that means is looking after your locks by not over-shampooing, and treating your hair to a deep conditioning treatment every week or two. Sachajuan make a really great Hair Repair deep conditioner that we love! Body
There’s plenty you can do to get your body in great shape before the big day. Embarking on a fitness regime is going to boost your energy levels and give you a healthy glow, but it’s in your diet where the biggest benefits can be found. Eating a nutrient-dense diet can do wonders for your skin and hair, and drinking water regularly will keep everything hydrated. There’s no need to go on a crash course, just do your research and choose the healthy foods that you like the most. The ones you’re not so sure about? Blitz them up into a daily smoothie and down the hatch they go!
Teeth
Last up, your teeth. Think about all of those photos. You’ll want your best possible smile on show so anything you can do to make sure those pearly whites are sparkling on the day is worth a try. We’re not talking basic oral hygiene here (that’s a given), we’re talking about home-use whitening kits or going to see a professional to get them whitened. If either of those sounds like something you’d like to try just make sure you do it at least a couple of months out so you can see if you like the results.
Start putting these dental care, skin care and hair care tips into practice to build your beauty routine way ahead of your wedding, and you’ll be able to look forward to your special day without a last-minute panic!
